About the invention
The Idea:
Tandm is a crowd-sourced bike-sharing platform that connects bike owners with bike riders. Utilizing a smart lock, owners are able to lock their bike to any public bike rack and rent it out, enabling anyone to participate in this eco-friendly sharing economy.
The Backstory:
These three high-schoolers all share a common love of science and robotics. Together, they’re members of their school’s first Robotics Competition team, The Flaming Chickens. Growing up in Portland, Oregon, they noticed a portion of the population had bikes that weren’t used on a daily basis and devised a way for people to make extra money from their spare bikes.
